Happy Monday Guys!!
Hope everyone had a great weekend. It was a pretty busy weekend for us and I am so glad it has come to an end. I’m trying something new today, I’m hoping I can keep up with blogging more and if I lay out my days for blogging it should help. So every Monday I’m going to try and do a “weekend update”. Sharing with you all the things we did for the weekend. Pretty simple, right? Well, lets just hope I can keep it up.
1.) Week one has passed since we had our IUI and now I have to get through this week to find out if it worked. Oh the “waiting period” is the hardest. Don’t know if I will reveal the results as soon as I know just yet, but I will keep you all posted.
2.) Rocking Ranger Recognition- Friday the school recognized Alyna along with several other kids for the “good choices” they make in school. I’m such a proud Mama! The award is given to students who display many positive attributes such as participating in class, displaying good sportsmanship, following instructions, demonstrating responsibility, producing quality work, cooperating with others, displaying a positive attitude, demonstrating pride in the school, working hard, managing themselves and showing respect. How cool is that!! I raised her well.
3.) Tomorrow is October 1st and you know what that means…”Breast Cancer Awareness Month!” At HEB they had a pretty big section of PINK! You know it’s that time of year when all you start seeing is PINK! Pink towels, Pink Jumbo Cupcake holders, Pink solo cups. So much PINK!!
4.) Alyna was eating an Animal Cracker that was shaped as a camel. We all really enjoy the Hump Day Camel and to see this one was way too cute. Shortly after the picture was take the camel was too. Yep folks he was eaten!
5.) Tim was taking me downtown to meet up with some of my girlfriends and we try to take a picture of ourselves every once in a while…and well, here’s our picture!
Oh how I love this man!
6.) It feels so good every now and then to get all dressed up and have your makeup and hair done. When working from home, I’ll admit there are days I don’t do my hair nor makeup. So actually getting all ready was really nice for a change.
7.) Comedian Anjelah Johnson was in town this weekend. If you guys haven’t seen or heard of her, check her out here. OMG! We. Love. Her. I met up with some of my girlfriends Kristina, Shannon and Betty. We were so excited and have been waiting for this day for some time now.
8.) The show was Awesome. She never disappoints. She put these cute cards with her pictures under seats all throughout the theatre for you to win a backstage meet and greet. Well, we didn’t have any under our seats, so when the show was over I was just looking at the seat behind us. I quietly ask Betty to check out that seat right next to her, since there was a square dark shape item stuck to the seat. Well, low and behold…We Won!! Sorry to the fella who didn’t check well. Ha.
Talk about lucky!! We were so excited. You bet this picture went up on Facebook right after we left. Love it!
9.) After the show, Tim and I had a dinner date with our two favorite people. Since maybe middle of Spring, we hadn’t met up with these two in a really long time. So you bet we had lots to catch up on. Sometimes the Husbands (who we get to call now, since we both are married) have to pull us away from each other. Otherwise I think Kristina and I could talk for days.
10.) To finish the weekend, we spent Sunday morning at Starbucks. We needed the pick me up before we went grocery shopping. It was really nice to walk with my husband, coffee in hand, and picking up our meals for the week. You know the quiet time is sometime all you need. Later after lunch Tim and Alyna gave our little monster a bath. He looks really skinny when he’s all wet. If only the camera could show you how shaky he was, he was cold. Poor baby.
Well, guys that’s our weekend in a nutshell. Like I said in the beginning, it was a busy weekend. Sorry this post is coming out so late, it was ready this morning, but we had a power outage for some strange reason. Leaving me very quiet here in the house.
Let me ask, have you every seen a comedian before, if so who? Let me know in the comments below.
Have a great Monday.
