About Us
Talking about starting a blog and actually sitting down and taking the time to write a blog are two completely different things. This has been months in the making, but I want to start at the beginning. If you read the intro, you know the “why,” but if any of my years of English class taught me anything, I have just a couple more questions to answer. The next question is, “Who”—Who is me, and who is her?
Well, first things first, of course, the her, Kira, to describe simply is one of the best people I’ve ever met. She is kind, courageous, inventive, caring, charismatic, loving… I better stop before I have to make a new blog of adjectives to describe how lovely Kira is. Outside of my obvious bias, she is a great person overall. She is extremely charismatic, and her charisma draws you in. She has an immediate warmth to her, the kind that makes you feel like you’re receiving the most perfectly timed hug, you know, the kind you get when you need it most. Kira’s personality is daring and idealistic. She loves to conjure up dreams and plans. If you are just crazy enough (like me) to follow along, you are in for a never-ending adventure. Kira has an unmeasured tenacity she brings to all things she puts her focus on. She’s a natural hobbyist with a talent for excelling at anything she picks up.
Paired with her incredible ability to laser-focus and completely block out the world, she can get anything done. She is also family-focused, a health-conscious individual with unrivaled willpower. Her willpower was tested by those tattoo’s she has on the top of her feet. If that doesn’t scream OUCH to you, you probably haven’t had a tattoo done. Six hours on each foot over a period of time, and that isn’t even her only tattoo or the most tortuous thing she has done. As far as her resume of life goes, she is a world traveler, has self-proclaimed killer music taste, and was this close to winning a bikini body-building competition. Speaking of tortuous things, that competition is a true test of will, tenacity, and pushing your body to its absolute limit. Kira has some of the best stories and isn’t anywhere near being one-dimensional (or a one-directioner). As a final thought, Kira is classy; she has excellent taste.
Speaking of me. Hailee is my name. I am, in a quick elevator pitch, a slightly sarcastic, in most cases analytical, and always somehow clumsy person. I enjoy being family-oriented and having a friend group that I would consider family. I love working hard and enjoy the challenge of learning new skills and creating solutions. For most of my life, I would say I have been focus-oriented, working toward a task and keeping on the straight and narrow. When I was young, family and friends would say that I had an old soul. I stayed close to home for college and mostly stuck to my studies. More about me, I love to make myself laugh, and I care a lot about everyone. As I have accomplished my goals, I have started to feel more confident about “going with the flow” and living my life with more adventure. That all kicked into high gear when I met Kira.
More to come on that note; keep checking back for more adventures.
